From the Berzerk to the District
Holy moly, I’m exhausted.
This semester has been long, hard, and painful (that’s what she said), but I am so relieved it’s over. I survived, even if it was barely by the skin of my teeth, and now I’ve escaped to the other side!
Literally.
(Well, sort of literally in the sense that I’m on the opposite coast other side type… you get what I mean.)
This last week has been as pleasant as having your eyeballs massaged with a micro-grater, what with finals and freaking out and not having a normal schedule or any semblance of a routine.
In fact, last night, I went to go take my Stats final, promptly had my butt handed back to me on a platter, went home at 10pm to pack, wandered around campus with M, forced myself to stay awake with Alex, got picked up at 3:30am for the airport, took off for Denver at 5:45am, waited an extra hour and a half for a delayed flight, and finally landed in DC at 5pm local time.
Oh.My.God.
My eyes are part bugging out of my head, part melting into my sockets from exhaustion.
Therefore, I’ll just dish out photos and hope that they’ll speak a thousand words to you because I’m about to pass out.
Last night in Berkeley:

Last meal in Berkeley!

Veggie burrito, so indulgent and glooorious

First night in DC:

INDIAN FOOD!!!!

My Godmother and her adorable (and so pretty!) daughter, Olivia

Forgive my appearance of a fat cow. This is what less than 2 hours of sleep and 8 hours of travel does to your face. Ugh.

Bhel puri (my absolute favorite dish of the night)

Vegetarian samoas. These babies were HUGE.

And an eggplant curry (which I forgot the name of, sorry)
Sorry for the watered down post. I’ve already whacked my forehead on the keyboard 3 times for drifting asleep.
Kidding.
Sort of.

Edit: According to a lovely reader, the eggplant dish is bagara baingan. Thank you, Nas!
